Most often used in small areas like raised bar tops or backlit vanities, tempered glass is a luxury counter option meant to wow its users.  It can be quite expensive, can scratch, and shows a lot of fingerprints, but it also is one of the easiest products to clean, never needs to be sealed, and is extremely heat resistant as well.
