Countertops

Although we don’t usually offer countertops stand-alone, the team at Aspen Kitchens can help guide you through the nearly endless options in countertops to determine the perfect choice for your remodel project.  Whether you are looking for a specific color or pattern, impressive durability and ease of maintenance, a sustainable or environmentally friendly product, or something truly unique and special, the perfect choice is likely out there waiting for you.

NATURAL STONE

Quarried from the earth, natural stone choices include Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Slate, Soapstone, Onyx, and Travertine.

QUARTZ

Quartz is an engineered stone that has all of the great qualities of natural stone like heat and scratch resistance, but is also permanently sealed – offering better stain resistance, too. Although some quartz is created to mimic the patterns and colors of marble and granite, many also offer unique styles entirely different from natural stone.

PORCELAIN SLAB

Porcelain is the one of the newest high quality products available on the market and is quickly becoming a popular option. Just as the name implies, porcelain slabs are essentially large scale tiles with better heat and stain resistance than quartz or natural stone.

WOOD

Natural maple butcherblock has been used and loved by chefs around the world for centuries because it is easy to repair and maintain. It also has a vast variety of options ranging from basic and affordable to custom styles with exotic woods and edges that can be quite a bit higher in price than natural stone or quartz.

SOLID SURFACE

Although not as scratch or heat resistant as granite or quartz, Acrylic Solid Surface is lightweight, easily reparable, and can be fabricated into a variety of shapes that are not always achievable or as affordable in other materials.

RECYCLED GLASS

Recycled Glass is a man-made material using recycled glass chips suspended in cement. Although a more expensive option than most other countertop options, the result is unique, often colorful, durable, and very eco-friendly.

TEMPERED GLASS

Most often used in small areas like raised bar tops or backlit vanities, tempered glass is a luxury counter option meant to wow its users. It can be quite expensive, can scratch, and shows a lot of fingerprints, but it also is one of the easiest products to clean, never needs to be sealed, and is extremely heat resistant.

SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE

Semi-Precious Stone is a luxury counter material made with natural materials like precious stones, agates, petrified forest wood, and precious metals suspended in a resin material.

METAL

Naturally antimicrobial and very heat resistant, metal counters can add an industrial element to any space – especially in spaces that aren’t trying too hard to be perfect. Chefs love stainless counters for sanitary reasons, but they do show every scratch and fingerprint. Copper and Zinc can be stunning in a historic styled space, and they offer a “living finish” that develops a rich patina as it ages over time.
